This new service will be available for at least U.S. users, it isn’t clear if it’s a download or streaming service, or both. Google already has already a  music search engine that can be accessed by simply typing “music:” before a query.

 This is seen as more of an interim step towards a more interesting cloud-based service, one that would allow subscribers to stream music directly from the Internet to their mobile devices, without having to store the music on the device itself.
